Our single vintage Armagnacs are a lens through which we peer back at history—and appreciate the spirit of time. To commemorate the 60th Anniversary year of 1963, here’s a recap of the vintage’s most momentous happenings.

President Kennedy is assassinated in Dallas by Lee Harvey Oswald. As Civil Rights take center stage, Martin Luther King Jr. issues his “Letter from Birmingham Jail”—and months later delivers his “I Have a Dream” speech from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial to the largest protest in American history up to that point.
A Year of Invention
The United States Postal Service introduces ZIP codes. Lamborghini is founded; Porsche first releases its classic 911. Instant coffee, hang-gliders, the computer mouse, the lava lamp, and the push-button telephone are invented.
