Colombard is famous for being one of the four varietals used in the production of Armagnac. This distinguished grape was brought from France to South Africa in the 1920s, where it’s since been heavily planted across the country (and thrives in the area’s warm climate).
He rounded out the excursion by scouting the nation’s most exquisite rums and whiskeys.
