Barrel 22

Barrel 22 “Patton” is named for legendary military leader George S. Patton, whose storied and controversial career in the armed services evokes the triumphant yet complex nature of BHAKTA 50. Crafted from eight different vintages—including 1944, the year General Patton took command of the Third Army during World War II—BHAKTA 50 “Patton” is an earthy blend of forest floor, orange zest, cloves, and pepper. An astonishing blend of Islay-finished Armagnac crafted from eight rare vintages: 1868 – 1888 – 1934 – 1944 – 1956 – 1962 – 1967 – 1970. With this barrel, we say cheers to the mavericks who make history.

** BHAKTA 50 Awarded “Top 100 Spirits of 2021” from WINE ENTHUSIAST Magazine ** About: BHAKTA 50 Year inaugural release includes 38 unique barrels, each with a blend of 8 vintages – 1868 to 1970. The blend is then finished in Islay Whisky casks for two weeks creating an exquisite marriage.  Vintages from 1868 might have bold notes of caramel, while 1878 draws from new distillates and presents completely differently. Our vintages vary by barrel, as do the proofs of the finished product. The peerless taste of BHAKTA is recognizable in all, but connoisseurs will recognize the nuances and flavor variety in each barrel. You'll have to taste them all to find out...
