BHAKTA Vintages are time in a bottle—and each year tells its own story. We recommend enjoying ancient vintages neat. Serve in a tulip glass for optimal aromatics. Vintages younger than half a century may be enjoyed neat or on the rocks, using a globe of ice or no more than two cubes of pure ice. Consume with patience so as to allow the aromas and flavors to evolve; taste with attention to reveal the secrets of each year. Commune with The Spirit of Time.

The pure distillation of the year 1989
BHAKTA 1989 — produced only from Ugni Blanc grapes grown on clay and limestone soil in Armagnac’s Tenarèze sub-region — shows a striking nose of exotic citrus, caramel, wax, and old library books, followed by an explosively lively palate of pepper, zesty citrus, resin, and old oak. In history, 1989 was defined by uprisings against Communism in China and Czechoslovakia, the launch of Lexus and Infiniti, and the release of the Nintendo GameBoy.

“In this vintage paradigm, every release is special, limited in quantity — there’s only so much of any given spirit made in any given year.”
“You don’t have to love brandy to love this. . . Terrific sipping and thus an epic preview of things to come from the nascent producer.”
